Our neighborhood decided to go on a camping trip this weekend. I was pretty nervous about it because who in their right mind goes camping in Texas in the end of June in 100 degree weather with a 2mo. old baby?? Well, the campsite was only an hour away from home so we decided if it didn't work out we could always go back home. Well, it went fabulous! It was so much fun. We bought a big tent that we could all fit in and it was pretty comfortable. Ethan's friend Tristan slept in our tent because his parents got called out of town unexpectedly. Sloane even loved it- she loved the trees and the sounds. The hardest part for me though was that she got so dang dirty- babies aren't supposed to be dirty! We brought a fan and her swing with us (I know- not really roughing it!) but she sleeps beautifully in that swing and we figured why mess with a good thing? The kids got to play in the lake, we went on a few hikes, found a geocache, and had smores. A deer came into camp and also a few armadillos- I FINALLY got to see a live armadillo!!! We can't wait to go again!

and he kept coming closer and closer to us- I was close enough to pet the little guy if I wanted to! (surprisingly I didn't though)
