The boys had fun carving pumpkins at school again this year. Jim went and helped them both!

Looks like more surgery in my future. Went to the thyroid doctor last week hoping he could drain the one large (I have about 30 smaller ones)cyst but that didn't happen. My tumor still is there and is perhaps larger and has alot of bloodflow. It is hard to biopsy, and the dr isn't sure he biopsied the right spot before. In other words- half of my thyroid needs to come out! Yes, sure it could most definately be cancer. I am not worried about that. I am worried about this:

I found this picture along with many others when I googled thyroidectomy. Nice- so I will look like I survived an attack with a machete.....I have heard that it often heals to be unnoticeable but that is for people that actually heal. It takes months for normal scrapes and scratches to heal. I still have bright red scars from my surgery in march. Pretty much all I have going for me as far as looks go are from the chest up. the bottom half is crap, and now my neck will be too? I don't 'do' turtlenecks.... I have an appt with the surgeon next week and hopefully surgery will be sometime in november. More to come on that as I get more info....

flowers and caterpillars

Last year I planted a passion vine but it didn't grow very tall before the caterpillars came and ate it all up. This year though it got really tall and I even got some flowers! And just like clockwork- the caterpillars waited to come until October just like last year. I have about 20 on the plant right now and a few are getting ready to turn to chrysalids. My plant is disappearing fast!

shark teeth!

I noticed when Cam had his first loose tooth, that there was already a tooth in behind it! Now he has 2 layers, just like a shark! He has one more loose tooth on the bottom and both top teeth are loose too. The tooth fairy better have some cash on hand because she is gonna need alot of it!
