The Armadillo (aka- Arnie!)

Overnight I kept hearing the neighbor's dogs barking. It drove me crazy! The next day when they were barking I went to the side of our yard to see what was going on. Right on the fenceline this is what I saw : Yeah! An armadillo came to visit! Poor little guy- the dogs were trying to eat him! We dug another hole for him though and I kinda forced him out. In the meantime- I did get to pet the little guy- he isn't mean at all, and didn't mind the attention really. After much thinking I decided that he felt like what someone might think a dinosaur would feel like. Don't ask why I came to that conclusion but I did. Maybe the stiff part of a lizard tail maybe? I dont know- he was firm but his shell had a bit of give to it.

This is him running away. He moves quicker than you might think! And he waddles ;) He is BIG by the way- the pic above with his face is about the size of my hand so he was probably 20 pounds.

After leaving my yard he went to the neighbors, we shoed him away and he went down the street to the golf course. He scared the crap out of a man working in his yard- oh boy- that was really truly the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life!

Cameron's soccer game

Grandpa Mike and Grandma Shirley come to visit!

It's that time of year, I guess- everyone coming to visit! It was great to see Mike and Shirley again. They actually got to see Cameron play soccer which was great! It must have been a good luck charm because he did a pretty good job!

Grandma Carole comes to visit

The kids were all so excited that Grandma Carole came to visit. Ethan however, was disappointed that she didn't bring her 4wheeler with her! LOL! Sloane was very happy and loved talking to her grandma- it was so cute! After she was done visiting with us, Bob came down and picked her up to bring her to his retirement (we couldn't go because of Jim's work schedule) and when Bob came down he brought us a wonderful, beautiful wood shoe rack that he made- I love it! And we no longer have a sea of shoes by the front door which is great.
