Sloane's first day of school

This is Mrs. Rose- we love her! She was one of the two teachers in Cameron's class. Sloane really likes her but is very sad that Mrs. Lynne isn't her teacher again this year.

First day of school

This year Ethan is going into 6th grade (his last year at the elementary school) and Cameron is going into 1st grade! Here are most of the kids on the street :)

Most of our 1st graders...

This is Cameron's teacher- Mrs. Harvey!

Sloane and Levi were feeling left out with all the picture taking so here they are!

San Antonio day 5 part 3

yes, part 3. Long day! Cameron thought for sure his feet were going to fall off. We were attacked by bees that wanted our sno cones.....luckily nobody got stung!
We went to Ripley's Odditorium- wow, what a lot of weird stuff! This guy is made completely of nails!

a wax grandma! a very big tire

perhaps a not so distant relative...

This was a spinning room. Basically you walk in and feel like you have had 15 drinks! Though I am pretty sure if you had anything to drink before walking in here, you would just puke everywhere!

I think the coolest thing any of us saw where were the shrunken heads. They were real! For some reason I didn't get any pictures of it and I wish I would have. I have always told Jim that when he dies I will have him cremated and he will sit on the shelf in a box next tot he dogs' ashes! LOL! However- now I am thinking I will have his head shrunk, and put it on a stick and maybe put him in a floral arrangement or something...... ;)

We also got to go to a mirror maze. That was alot of fun, and we were allowed to do it as many times as we wanted. the first 2 times were a breeze. Kind of lame we thought- then the next time we went we could NOT find our way out!!! Cameron said to me- mom, I think we might die in here because we can never get out! LOLOLOL!

San Antonio day 5 part 2

We stopped for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe- the kids really liked it there!

The riverwalk- boat tour!
We took a boat on the riverwalk. It was pretty neat to see everything from that point of view. So many buildings with stairs that go straight to the river. We also had a very strange tour guide but he did have some kind of cool information about the place.

I am pretty sure if you had to use this fire escape in a fire you would die a fiery death! What is that, like 20 flights down?

This is a tree that grew through a building!

And since we hadn't done it before, we got a family pic at the Alamo!

San Antonio day 5 part 1

On our last day we went to the Japanese Tea Garden, the Riverwalk, and some fun indoor places.
This sign says Chinese Tea Garden but it used to say Japanese- it was changed after Pearl Harbor because the owner was afraid of people ruining the garden.
