Cameron's Thanksgiving Feast
Kindergarten got to celebrate a Thanksgiving feast on Thursday. They each got to decorate an indian and a pilgrim costume so they could choose which to wear, then the one not worn thursday would be worn friday- that way every kid gets to wear both costumes.

Sloane's Thanksgiving Feast
Sloane's preschool had a Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday. I made cupcake teepees :)
Sloane was one of my taste testers- she said it was pretty good!
Sloane was really excited to see me, but she wasn't sad or clingy like she was when I came for the halloween party. I love that she has so much fun with her friends at school!
My little indian....
Kindergarten gets to have a thanksgiving feast too- That is tomorrow, and Cameron is so excited! Unfortunately homemade food isn't allowed there so I am bringing grapes. Poor Ethan is really feeling left out- they don't have any thanksgiving party. I keep reassuring him that I will be there for his christmas party. Since he is in choir this year, he gets to participate in the parade of lights in Joshua in December- I bet that will be fun!
Bad month for ears
Cameron started complaining a week ago saturday that his ear hurt. It came on quite suddenly and was very bad. It was too late to take him to the dr, and I knew that all they could really do is give him antibiotics and that wouldn't help with anything anyway for a few days. I gave him some warm oil ear drops and that helped with his pain quite a bit. He slept fine that night but when he woke up Saturday morning there was blood dripping out of his ear :( So, I was able to get him in later sunday morning and yep- ruptured ear drum. The upside was that his ear didn't hurt anymore. Fast forward a week- Sloane isn't sleeping well, and is complaining that her tummy and her teeth hurt. Well, she has moluscum on her butt- it's been there almost 6 months (it's just gross bumps that take forever to go away) and right now they are irritated, and it seemed like she had some sort of yeast infection or something- just really sore. Turns out she probably doesn't have a yeast infection, dr thinks it is a urinary tract infection, and we have to go to a dermatologist an hour away for her moluscum to see if there is anything he can do to hurry the process of getting rid of it. AND she had a horrible ear infection in one of her ears :( dr said that it looked like it may have even ruptured- what's up with that happening twice in less than 2 weeks? Poor girl didn't even complain about her ear until this morning. The GREAT news is that she is terribly jealous that both Ethan and Cameron have pills to take every day- and now she gets some. She is FINALLY okay about taking medicine! WoooHooo!

yuck!
Figure I may as well throw these pics in here- since it was just halloween and all....
a lovely Banana spider- it was outside our bathroom windown and it was nearly the size of my hand- yes, some things really ARE bigger in Texas...
Halloween night
Carving pumpkins is soooo much fun!

My monsters ready for a night of fun!

Sloane liked her lollipops!
just a glimpse of the crowds. It was this crowded for hours!!! We gave out over 250 pieces of candy- it lasted less than 30 minutes!
checking out the loot...
Yummmmm
My monsters ready for a night of fun!
So Cameron's costume didn't work as well as he had hoped, but Sloane did a great GREAT job. She walked to most houses, never really acted scared by all the monsters walking by her... Her motto- will walk AND be brave for candy!!!
Ethan had an okay time. He didn't go with any friends this year and didn't get as much candy as usual, but he had fun handing candy out once we got back home!
Greatest costume ever...
A year ago Cameron decided that this year he was going to be a giant eyeball. He planned on it all year long. I looked and looked and it just isn't something you can buy. Great....So I made it out of paper mache!
first- we got a huge chinese lantern and hung it from the ceiling.
I had to put a big balloon in it to keep it round- then I put millions of strips of white paper dipped in wallpaper paste on the lantern.
Then painted.
viola- giant eyeball!
Cameron ended up regretting his eyeball decision because it was very hard to keep on his head- made him too top heavy. We had SO many comments on halloween about it though and some people stopped to take his picture too. He really wanted to take it off but mean mom wouldn't let him except between houses. I made him wear it up to each house that he trick or treated. He was very happy when we got home!!!
