And we're off!

Day 1: Airplane leaves at 6am. apparently this does not mean that we need to wake up at 6am. This means we need to wake up at 3am. Oops! The kids do great though and don't act tired at ALL! They jump out of bed and get dressed. Even Sloane. Nobody sleeps on the way to the airport. The airplane is small one of those with 2 seats on either side (weird for a flight between 2 major airports) I sit with Sloane and she does okay but gets tired after awhile and wants to go home. She falls asleep about an hour into the flight.
When we get to the airport we meet Malinda. She is a long lost cousin that I was supposed to meet 25 years ago and never did. She is a flight attendant- and a very interesting girl. She is coming to Idaho also. We give her a ride.
We go down to get our luggage and guess what? Jim's bag is lost. Didn't this happen LAST year???? Ugh? Okay, we find out it is coming on the next flight so no big deal, we wait and pick it up. Then we are off!
We make it to Shelley Idaho where there is some sort of luncheon following a funeral for my dads uncle. I get to see a bunch of people that I haven't seen in a long long time. Then it's off to Idaho Falls.
Lana and Gary let us borrow their trailer so we put it in my brother's back yard. This makes it SO much easier when there are 5 of us!!! Originally we were supposed to be staying in the trailer but at my grandma's but then she went and broke her shoulder and knee so she was in the hospital for our whole visit :(

more summer fun!

Just some pictures from our trip to the pool. I have some of Cameron swimming that I need to get loaded on here so I can prove that he can REALLY swim now!

Some weird dudes with long hair....This is Ethan and his friend Colin. Ethan is really trying to grow his hair out as long as possible but our school district is really stuck up and sexist so unfortunately he is going to have to cut it quite a bit shorter before school starts.

Pick up sticks

How do YOU play pick up sticks??

Drive in movies!

We went to the Drive in movie theater to watch Despicable Me. What a cute movie! Usually there are other people there but it is never 'full' but wow, We really had to look for a spot to park this time. We tried to get our neighbors to go with us the night before, but it was raining way too hard so we decided to wait, then nobody else could go so we just went by ourselves. Surprisingly we are the only people on our street that has even been to this drive in movie theater (some haven't even been to ANY drive ins before- how weird is that?) This is by far our place of choice because it is super cheap and we can move around the car or outside, which works out well for Sloane especially. The biggest downside is that we have to drive an hour to get there and back, but it's worth it!

picture time!

We finally got around to planting some flowers in our new beds so now we have butterflies- yeah!!!
And I found this very cool dragonfly in our back yard the other day. He never lands on anything but he is there almost every day. I don't know what he does back there besides fly in laps!

Sloane fell asleep in the family room 2 days in a row before I could get her in her room for a nap.

Cameron update

All of Cameron's tests have come back and everything was normal (I played with poop for nothing!) He did have a bacterial overgrowth that they discovered during the breath test and he had to take the worlds worst tasting medicine for 10 days to get rid of it. It was SO hard for him to do but he did great! I even ended up paying him a dollar every night after he took his pm dose- not to bribe him but to reward him for doing so good. It definately made it more 'worth it' to take that stuff. He has some definate ideas as to what he will spend his money on. I think I will have to start giving him an allowance now that he has a taste of money!
Oh- the one other test that came back abnormal was the ultrasound. Everything with his stomach looked okay but he had an abnormally thick bladder wall. They thought it might be a UTI, but a urine test for that came back negative. It could mean a bunch of other things as well- or maybe it means nothing. We don't see his doctor again until the middle of August so I guess we will decide what to do next after that.

July 4th

For the 4th of July this year we decided to go see the 'big' city fireworks since we hadn't done that in about 5 years. We didn't get as good a spot as we had hoped but it worked out and after Sloane got over the shock of huge explosions overhead, we all had fun watching! I wish I would have taken some pics of the kids watching the fireworks but the pre-fireworks party got me a little bit uhhhh well, made me not think so clearly ;)
