Camping trip, take 2

Since it was so rainy the first night, we spent the second night at home but drove back up there the last day (we had already paid for those days anyway) and there was alot there to see that we didn't get a chance to the day before.

This is right off of where our camping spot was- nice view! I bought a new filter for my camera- it takes infrared pictures which captures a level of light that the human eye can not see- I took the same picture with and without the filter. It's almost like black and white except the leaves are all white- not black which they would be in a b&w photo

The kids being silly eating lunch:

Ethan's first fish!

This was Sloane's first time to experience the fun of sand. She was most definately NOT impressed!

Cameron on the other hand wanted to stay all day and play it it!

Ethan and Tristan played in the lake. They were freezing cold when they came back, and of course just wearing jeans because we didn't plan on playing in the water. Ick- wet jeans!

Lakeview Cir. Spring camping trip

Our neighborhood went camping the weekend before memorial weekend. We went to a really neat state park about an hour north of us. Unfortunately it rained like crazy the first night and we ended up with puddles of water in the tent, so we packed up early and went home.
It was raining outside so we brought everything in to cook breakfast.

The kids had a blast playing in the rain though-they were all soaking wet! Cameron slipped on a muddy hill and rolled down it. I took this picture after I wiped all the mud off his face. He was ready to go home after that!

preschool graduation

Cameron's preschool had graduation last night. They sang 3 songs and Cameron did really well!

He still has the same speech therapist as last year- Mrs. Terri. She is so wonderful and Cameron is really attached to her. She is going to be a school psychologist next year, and Cameron will be going to a different preschool so I don't imagine we will see too much of her anymore. Hopefully she will drop in on his speech class occasionally though!Mrs. Tammy is his teacher this year- she has been alot of fun! She gives little homework projects each month for the kid and parents to do together, like decorating a valentine heart or easter egg picture, then they bring them in and hang them up- Cameron has loved doing it!

I have decided to have his switch preschools for next year- right now where he goes is actually a daycare and I want more of a preschool setting. He will be going 3 days a week from 9-2, then he will have a speech class once a week besides that- he will be a busy boy!

random pictures

It was really foggy the other day and I had hoped to get some pictures of the fog lifting off the lake near our house but this is the best I could get. However- I did get to see some geese and their nest!

Sloane's buddy Avery had her birthday last week- they are both 1 now! She got a wagon for her birthday and she and Sloane love to go for rides together!

April Showers

When it rains in Texas, it REALLY rains. And the way our yard is set up, all the water pools in our sidwalk- not fun for us but GREAT fun for the neighborhood kids! Cameron had his friend Reese from across the street over the other day to splash and play.
