HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY SLOANE!

I was so excited about Sloane's birthday cake- I couldn't find ANYONE to do a butterfly- no store bakeries will do any freehand drawings, so I finally went to a specialty bakery and got the most lovely cake! She even make a small smash cake for Sloane that matched the big cake!

There was an 'incident' with the cake....I was bringing it to Sloane with the candle lit- just as I was about to blow it out for her, Ethan distracted me and I looked away- of course Sloane decided to take that moment to grab the flame!!!!! She burnt her finger and didn't want anything to do with the cake after that. We held her for awhile and tried to calm her down and put her back in her chair in hopes she would at least try the cake, but she didn't want any of that mean ol cake!

We had the perfect turnout for the party- not too many people, just a few neighbors. Sloane had fun playing with her new toys and letting her buddy Avery try them out too.

We decided to let Sloane play with her cake the next night in hopes it would go better. No candle this time! She did have some fun getting messy!

Easter

Easter was great! Jim had the day off so he got to help cook, thank goodness! The kids got way too much stuff, and they had an egg hunt in the house since it was pretty wet outside. This rabbit was in our back yard Easter morning! How cool is that!

The kids got a bucket with wheels on it. I figured they could use it outside hauling toys and stuff around- apparently it is a REALLY fun ride too! Both the boys were fighting over taking Sloane on her 'Zoom Zoom Ride'

Sloane LOVES spaghetti! She had 3 BOWLS full that night! I think that was even more than the boys ate!

I love the back of her hair- it is really filling in good and it is so curly and still a bit red

Cameron's easter party

Cameron's school had an easter party on friday. Cam doesn't usually go on fridays but they always let him come for parties- they all brought decorated egg cartons from home to put their eggs in

We went to an easter egg hunt today- lots of fun for the kids! Ethan was there too, but I didn't get any pictures of him because I was busy following Cameron around!

Sloane

Well, Sloane is officially a walker. She started this weekend and right now she can take about 10 steps before falling down. Her new ability trills her, but I think it thrills the boys even more. They pass her back and forth making her walk from one to the other then back again, then they all just giggle.

Walking isn't the only thing this little monster is doing these days. She is determined to get into EVERYTHING, and if she can climb it, she will!

9 years old

We waited until his actual birthday to give him our gifts- we got him a loft bed and put it together while he was at school, then surprised him when he got home. He loves it!
