Sloane is growing

I think we are going to have to go shopping this week for some new clothes for Sloane- 18month clothes! Jeez- I can't believe how big she is. And I have noticed swimsuits are out in the stores already! I better hurry and get her one before they sell out. The boys I am not too worried about, swim trunks are easy to find but a girl needs a cute swimsuit! Oh, and I am also looking for easter dresses too- nothing too frilly though. I am really wanting to put more dresses on her but with her crawling now it probably isn't the best time for that. Yes, I know you all are thinking haha- you are going to turn her into a girly girl just like you said you would never do....Well, I still don't really buy pink stuff and I don't buy frilly stuff but I am all about her being fashionable!

Tara's appt

In preparation for my appt to have cysts in my neck drained I had to put some really thick numbing cream all over my neck while at home- then Jim wrapped it in cling wrap and off we went. I hid in the back seat because I didn't want anyone to see me! He had to drain 8 or 9 cysts which meant that he had to stick that many needles in my neck at different places- ick! Actually it didn't hurt that much- Jim is surprised because he watched the whole thing and said the dr was kind of rough while he was doing it. By evening I was pretty sore though and couldn't stand to use my neck muscles (you would be surprised how much you use them) but now it is just a little tender. I get my biopsy results back next monday.

Dr appts

Sloane had her 9 month appt- she is 18 lb 12.5oz. and 28in tall. She also got 2 shots -she was supposed to get 5 but I only allowed them to give her 2 because she has had such a sever reaction in the past- the dr was sure it was the whooping cough vaccine giving her problems, so they took that part out of the DTaP and she did wonderful this time!!! Now I feel better about getting her shots, so I will take her back in next week to get the rest, we just wont ever give her the whooping cough one again.

Cameron had his 4yr appt and weighed in at 34 lbs and 3'4" tall. He still has one tube in an ear so we need to take him to an ENT to have it removed. Poor kid got 5 shots and the nurses weren't even quick about it, so the appt ended on a bad note for sure.

I have my appointment on monday with the endocrinologist to have the cysts in my neck drained and biopsied- yuck!

Sloane is 9 months old!

Yep- she will be 9months old on Wednesday! She is now crawling all over the place (she even got lost in the house last night while daddy was supposed to watch her- we found her in our closet) and she is able to stand for short amounts of time by herself. No walking yet but she does take her little stroller and walk it from one end of the room to the other. She also has 3 teeth now, and is FINALLY giving kisses(she stopped for a long time and I was so sad because baby kisses are the best) She still isn't sleeping through the night- no idea when that will happen. She claps and says yeah! she also claps to pat-a-cake, and likes to wave at people. Her very favorite thing to do though is to growl.

Winter in Texas

We had a nice warm homecoming- left idaho in single digits, then arrived in TX with temps in the mid 80's- just what we needed to thaw out! It was short lived though because 2 days later we had an ice storm. It was really neat to see the ice on everything so I drove around the neighborhood and took some pictures!

Happy 4th Birthday Cameron!

Cameron's birthday was very hectic- we had to wake up early and pick up the dog from the kennel since we flew in just the night before. We were still packed and our mess and decorations were still all over from Christmas so we had to have the party somewhere else- we found a tumbling place about a mile from our house so that worked out well.If the scooby doo theme seems familiar, it is- Ethan had a scooby party when he turned 3! In fact, I still had some of the party supplies from that party and was able to reuse them- see, it does make sense to save everything!

Fun in the snow

Of course the boys had fun in the snow. There was a big pile outside my sisters house that they mostly played it, and they got to go sledding at Grandma Margaret's house. Sloane got to play in the snow for the first time and she wasn't really sure what to think but she did like tasting the snow!

Our plan this year was to take Ethan and Cameron both skiing, but we all got a 24hr stomach bug and poor Cameron's lasted 3 days so Jim and Ethan went skiing alone this year. Not only did Cameron not get to go, but I didn't get to take any pictures of Ethan skiing this year :(

Bowling

The night before we left Idaho we went bowling with my mom, Rhett, Lynleigh, and their families. Real bowling is MUCH more difficult than Wii bowling- unless we have the kiddie bumpers on, that is!
