All grown up!

Sloane is growing way too fast! I am having trouble finding pajamas for her because she is so long and her feet are SO big. We just bought some new pjs that were size 6-9 months and she can't wear them because they are too small for her!!! I went to Target the other day see about getting her some 12 mo. pjs but they aren't in the infant section- they were in the toddler section and I just couldn't do it. She isn't a toddler and I am NOT ready to shop on that rack yet!! So we had to find her some 2 pc pjs that didn't have feet in them. At least I was able to get 6-9mo.(honestly though- it is not too big and 12 mo. will fit her soon in that too) and I wasn't even too happy about that because they don't look like baby pajamas- I am just not ready for her to be so big yet!
We decided to give her some cereal the other day- she didn't hate it. I am not in a hurry to feed her solids but especially this last week she is showing a ton of interest in what we drink as well as our food. I went ahead and bought some avacados the yesterday so maybe in a couple of days we will see if she likes it. I know Cameron loved it!

Another thing she likes to do is stand up- she is pretty stable too!

well, at least for a minute she is- then her legs give out!

A very sad discovery last night- I was playing with the hair on top of her head and I noticed it is falling out :( What will we do without that sprout of hair sticking up?????? Hopefully the rest of her hair will grow in soon- I don't want her to be a bald baby.

Swimming

Well, we decided to hit the pool at least one more time before it gets closed for the season (not sure if that will happen after Labor Day or if they will wait longer) and the kids had alot of fun.

First day of school

This is Ethan's first day of 3rd grade! He has worked hard all summer on math and writing so I think he will do really well this year! Cameron also started back to preschool and was very excited to see Ms. Terri again.

Rain!

We finally had some much needed rain and luckily it was not accompanied by lightening like usual so the kids had some fun playing in the water

A day in the life of Sloane

Here is Sloane hanging out with her buddy Avery- she lives right across the street and is just 2 weeks younger.Avery has the cutest thinking wrinkles!Sloane is trying out Avery's chairShe thinks it is pretty cool! (though I have to shove her fat little legs in to get her in there!)
After playing we decide to take a bath and try something new- sitting! But she is apparently still a little small for that still so we got the old baby tub back out. much better!
All that playing and getting clean was hard work!

Here is a picture of Carole with both Bob and Jim We introduced grandma to the Wii- here she is playing a game with Ethan. Jim told her she needs to learn now so she can beat everyone else at wii bowling when she goes to the old folks home. Not nice, Jim!

A day at the zoo

While we were in Kansas visiting uncle Bob, we went on a trip to the Witchita Zoo. It was alot of fun- the weather was cool so all the animals were out and playing. The boys got to hang out with their cousins some too and they both loved that!Ethan, Cameron, and Josh playing aroundEthan, Paden, and JoshSloane peeking out to look around A gorilla watching me take his picture.

The gorillas were being really silly at the zoo. Besides coming up really close to us and interacting, a couple went out and started fighting with each other- it was really funny to watch! I was so glad I had a fast camera to catch it all!

Sloane's 3 month pictures

Just had to add Sloane's 3 month picture- it turned out so good! Has there ever been a cuter girl in existence? I don't think so!

We were at a neighbors house last night and all the kids were having a great time playing. I love that there aren't any bugs here and we can enjoy our evenings without getting eaten alive!
Sloane is doing well- she loves to laugh now- at things like Ethan jump roping or the dog just walking by. She is drooling and chewing on her hand like crazy so it wouldn't surprise me if she had a tooth come through soon but so far we don't see anything.
oh and good news- my hand seems to be getting better! It's about time!!!
