swimming

We took the kids to the pool last night- we didn't get a chance to go until 8pm but it was perfect because it wasn't quite as scorching hot and I didn't have to worry about the sun since Sloane is too young for sunscreen. She loooooves the water. While we were at the other end of the pool, Pete was giving Cameron swim lessons- he definately is not the daredevil Ethan was and hates his head being under water but hopefully he will get better about that by the end of summer.

I think it is almost time for summer to be over- the boys have been fighting constantly for the last 2 weeks- I think they have just been around each other too much. We haven't done many activities this summer as they all cost money and now the kids are bored. Cameron was so grumpy yesterday I ran across the street and grabbed Kaden and McKenzie and brought them over to entertain Cam- thank goodness that worked.

Today our neighbor Pete (the one that races in triathalons) has volunteered to give Cameron and the twins swim lessons ! I can't think of anyone better to do the job!

Other news: Sloane can roll over from her tummy to her back now! She does it really well too!

Dr. appt update

Well, I had an EMG day before yesterday. It was interesting if nothing else! Basically I had my hand and arm shocked for 20 minutes to test my nerves, then he stuck a long needle in all the different muscles in my arm and hand, then made me use the muscle that had the needle sticking in it- OUCH! Everything looked good there- unfortunately that is not good news. I still have no strength from my elbow down. The doctor is now thinking it is coming from my spine or brain and could possibly be multiple schlerosis. I have other symptoms but I thought they were just unrelated weird little things but maybe it is all one thing. I should be hearing from a neurologist next week to set up an appt/MRI with them.

Sloane has something to say

Sloane is 3 months old!

I have noticed the last few days that she is pretty heavy when I carry her around so I weighed her and she was 13.9 pounds! No wonder she felt big!

Here she is sitting on the couch- she can do that for a pretty long time before tipping over.

4th of July

We went to Oklahoma for the 4th of July- Every year there is a great fireworks show at Mike and Shirley's house and everyone comes over to enjoy them
